In addition to working at The Social Learning Studio as a Therapy Assistant, Maria is a second year university student, completing a Bachelor of Criminology & Psychology at RMIT University.
In 2018, Maria completed the “Making it work as an ABA Therapist” course with the Autism Behavioural Intervention Association (ABIA). Having an ASD family member sparked initial interest in ABA therapy.
Her greatest interests in psychology include individuality, the effect on nature and nurture from childhood through adulthood, and the learning process through experiences.
Maria has a desire to understand how to best support an individual on their unique learning journey. Maria is comfortable to provide therapy assistance on a young person's home, their school, or on mini adventures within their local community.
