After completing his bachelor degree, Lindsay commenced work as a graduate recruit in the acclaimed and competitive Victorian Graduate Recruitment and Development Scheme. He has gained experience in several key government departments including, the Department of Education, the Victorian Institute for Forensic Medicine and the Department of Health and Human Services. During this time, he worked directly with the then Principal Practitioner for Child Protection and Family Services, Robyn Miller, supporting the every child, every chance reform agenda a cornerstone of Victoria’s child and family policy framework.

Lindsay has developed a specialist interest in the treatment of trauma and attachment difficulties in children and adults alike. He has worked for a range of mental health services, both in Victoria and the UK, working with vulnerable infants, children and young people who have suffered serious trauma, abuse or neglect. These organisations are at the forefront of helping vulnerable children to recover and learn to trust again.

As a systemic therapist, Lindsay’s approach is ecological in nature, meaning that he takes into account each individual as part of a wider system including family, friends, education and workplace. Lindsay understands that these have an impact on the way the person experiences and understanding their life.
