The Friendship Saver is a universal SEL program, designed to embed social problem-solving literacy into children's wellbeing tool kits.
As students learn essential social emotional skills, a more positive classroom culture develops which generates a better learning environment for all.
The program is designed to be delivered by class teachers in their classrooms.
Experiential learning is central to the Friendship Saver curriculum. Students actively develop shared language and techniques to manage peer relationships. These new perspectives and approaches are consolidated with guided discussions, small group work challenges and drama based activities.
The program is evidenced based, having undergone extensive evaluation since 2009. It is also aligned to the CASEL SEL framework, Department of Education and Training Personal and Social Capability curriculum and National Safe Schools Framework.
