Term 3, 2019 Boys Groups

Science Experiments and Group Games provides participants with genuine opportunities to organise group play, establish group rules, play, and learn to resolve difference and conflict with confidence, resilience and respect for others. 


This is a 5 session program offered to our Junior Boys Groups and Advanced Primary Boys Group.

Please note that individual feedback sessions for term 3, will commence in October 2019.

Cost: 

$520 for the 5-week program and individual feedback session.  New participants are also required to attend an initial assessment with Connie or Kayla ($165) and parent background information and planning session ($165). 



Participants with a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan:


The Saturday groups, run by Connie Buckingham, are eligible for rebates with a valid Mental Health Care Plan. Both initial sessions attract a partial Medicare rebate of approximately $83.

A valid Mental Health Care Plan will also attract a partial Medicare rebate for the group sessions, provided that 6 or more individuals attend each session. The Medicare group rebate is approximately $20 per session. The final Individual Feedback Session also attracts a Medicare rebate of approximately $83.00.


The Monday group, run by Kayla, is not eligible for rebates with a Mental Health Care Plan. This group is open to participants with Plan- or Self-Managed NDIS packages or those who are full-fee paying. 



Session summaries highlighting key concepts and strategies are emailed to parents/caregivers after group sessions to help reinforce program themes at home


CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: 

- If you enrol in the program, fees must be paid prior to commencement; unless NDIS Plan Managed. 

- Participants are required to attend each session, however, please contact admin if you are ill and unable to attend. 

- If 2 or more participants fall ill, the group session will be postponed.  Families will be notified via text. 

- If only 1 participant fall's ill, the group will run as planned.  Unfortunately, the ill participant is unable to make up the lost day or receive a refund as the program is costed as a whole. 

- Participants are required to arrive 5 minutes prior to the start time and parents are encouraged to stay for the duration of the program.
